Christmas Actually Did Happen, Part One

Now that it is May, I ought to write something about Christmas (embarrassed face).  We Baldwins very much enjoyed our Christmas festivities.  I even took the Christmas spirit with me to Utah, despite the ribbings I got from my pals at work for taking a vacation just two months after joining the team.  Ken and I cut down our very first fresh Christmas tree from Dr. Rick's Christmas tree farm down the road (best dentist ever) and then remembered why it is so much easier - if less festive and cool - to have a fake Christmas tree that you take down out of the attic each yule.  Nonetheless, thanks to Mom and Jim we got to enjoy a true Oregonian (muddy and rainy) Christmas tree extravaganza for less than we would otherwise pay, and like Dad we picked out a Noble fir.  It was awesome!*

Ready for a Christmas tree hunt!

This is about the time where we go, "Remember that fake tree in the garage?..."

Bundled up in Mom's truck....

Ken did most of the decorating and picked out the star.  Mom and Jim brought most of the presents.

Jim and Kenny on Christmas morning, as Ken enjoys his brand new tools.  Meanwhile, Dad, Mom, and I are enjoying the view from my brand new couch!
